DU LPR Calls for Papers for "DU LPR Virtual Symposium on the Rohingya Refugee Crisis"

 




DU LPR Virtual Symposium on the Rohingya Refugee Crisis & Addressing National and International Challenges will be organized by Dhaka University Law and Politics Review from 19 June, 2021 to 21 June, 2021 in observance of the World Refugee Day 2021. The aim of the symposium is to provide the undergraduate, graduate and post graduate students as well as young researchers of Bangladesh with a platform to exchange their original research findings on the impending Rohingya crisis in Bangladesh and present their recommendations to a distinct panel of policy makers, academic and practitioners. Topic of interest for submission of paper includes but are not limited to:

 

1. The Geopolitics of Rohingya Crisis 

2. Role of Multilateral and Regional Organisations in the Rohingya Crisis

3. Rohingya Refugee Crisis and International Human Rights Law

4. Rohingya Minority, Genocide & Crimes Against Humanity 

5. National and International Security Challenges in Rohingya Refugee Issue

6. Repatriation and Resettlement of Rohingya Refugees 

7. Rohingya Refugee Settlement and Environmental Degradation 

8. Rohingya Crisis and Gender Based Vulnerability 

9. Strategic Role of India and China in Rohingya Crisis 

10. Rohingya Crisis and Multi-sectoral Response 

11. Mental Health and Psychological Wellbeing of Rohingya Refugees

12. Rohingya Refugee Settlement, Confrontation and Victimisation of Locals

 

Submission Guidelines:

=> Word Limit: Between 3000 - 5000 words excluding footnotes.

=> Submission Deadline: The paper shall be submitted by 10 June, 2021 (EOD).

=> Co-authorship is allowed to a maximum of 3 (three) authors.

=> The paper must be accompanied by an abstract up to 300 words.

=>  The paper must be well sourced with standard referencing.

=> All submissions shall be subject to blind peer review and plagiarism check.

=> Only selected papers will be invited to be presented in the symposium.

=> The paper shall be in MS word format.

=> All presenters will be given certificates for participation and best presenter(s) and best paper will be awarded.
