Ms. Shahrima Tanjin Arni, Editor in Chief, Dhaka University Law and Politics Review and Mr. Saurov Dash Roni, Managing Editor, Dhaka University Law and Politics Review jointly host a panel discussion titled "Feasibility of the Proposed Bangladesh Lands Act 2020".
The event was held against the backdrop of Bangladesh Law Commission publishing a draft of Bangladesh Lands Act 2020. The draft law consolidated all the existing land related legislation in Bangladesh. The publication of the draft law sparked severe debates and discussion in the legal fraternity of Bangladesh.
The Panel Event featured three distinguished legal professionals in Bangladesh:
1. Senior Advocate A M Amin Uddin, President, Supreme Court Bar Association;
2. Professor Dr. Biswajit Chanda, Member, University Grants Commission and Founder Chairman, Department of Law & Land Administration, University of Rajshahi; and
3. Dr. S M Masum Billah, PhD in Land Law (Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand) and Associate Professor, Department of Law, Jagannath University.
